Dirt Diggers 2012

We had a wonderful Sunday the kind where you just sit back and relish in the moment and wonder why cant every Sunday be just like this. The weather was beautiful, the kids played their hearts out and momma got a few things marked off the to-do list. Of course my disclaimer is still PLEASE dont walk upstairs as you may find the lingering Christmas tree that has yet to take itself down....umm yes I maybe that person whio has a tree up until February but it isnt because I have forgotten it is really because it is soooo messy to take down and I know the littles will want to help and well by the time I get them to bed it is all I can do to shower and brush my teeth...but this weeked it WILL get accomplished ;)

Sooo on to Dirt Diggers 2012--- for quite sometime I have been offering to make a mud puddle for Callen of course it has yet to warm up enough for me to feel comfortable with wet muddy water and my little ones playin in it....however, Sunday we had sweet little Luke Green over for some playtime and the boys grabbed the various pieces of construction equipment (you know the sand kind) and headed out to the back yard..... they were on a mission to make me a road and I must say I could have watched them for hours-- they were all playing together even little P was getting down and dirty (gasp I know- I am telling you the princess can romp wit hthe boys and play girly dress up ALL at the same time). Well the worked on the road for hours and before it was all said and done they found the ditch with mud-- 2 boys + mud equals HEAVEN!!!
As you can tell it was the perfect Sunday!!

A Special Date Night

Sorry for the lag on post but I have really been trying to eep the computer down when we get home in the evenings so that I can get lots of one on one time with the kids... Callen has started his sight words and will start reading the middle of the month (let me tell you I am so excited to see the changes in him daily). Paisley began dance last week and I am hoping tonight she will join the little girls rather then participating off to the side. With all that has been going on and having daddy back in the field full time only coming home much after we are all asleep we decided that last Wednesday we needed to have a date night.... I was able to capture a picture of the 2 cuties that went on date night with us. Let me just say I LOVE these 2 to the moon and back and all the stars in the sky!

We went to the ZOO

WE WENT TO THE ZOO WITH NANNIE AND TO VISIT GRAMPY IN THE HOSPITAL WHICH OVER LOOKS THE ZOO....LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS A ZOO OF A TIME AS THE LITTLES WANTED TO RUN EACH IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION BUT WHAT FUN MEMORIES WE MADE....MY FAVORITE THE GIRAFFES, P'S THE LITTLE ELEPHANT, CALLENS THE LION AND MACKENZIES WAS THE MONKEY WITH THE BLANKET ON.

I am still a few post behind...

But wanted to remember what my 2 littles told me last night....

We were sitting on the couch Chris and I and Paisley by my side. Callen was over at the chair closest to the bedroom- CHris was talking to Paisley about her little babies and her little puppy dog whom she loves. All of the sudden out of the blue Callen says " I want a little dinosaur or maybe a little t-rex" it was PRICELESS. Not to mention he had jsut dressed himself after his bath he did great although he had on LITTLE JAMMIES LIKE SIZE 2.

Now onto Sweet Paisley... we were getting ready to go to bed I had asked her if she was ready and she said yes... followed by " I want to sleep in my pink closet room" Chris then asked her where he room was and she said I have 2 rooms that one (pointing to the guest room where she has been sleeping for months) and " I have my pink closet room daddy and I want to sleep there" so that is just what she did she slept in her pink closet room with all 4 of her puppies and her baby.

These moments fly by so fast and I dont want to miss a MOMENT--- so sometimes that means a quick blog post before a memory passes and we are onto the next ;)

She is a whale of a tale....

So when I captured her in the whales mouth on our golfing adventure I figured it was perfect for a little post.

Never a dull Moment....

Well as you could imagine it is hard to keep a 2 year olds attention with a 18 hole game of putt putt. Both her and I did great until about hole 5 then well SHE got creative.....1st we went from the character to character introducing herself... up 1st Mr Rabbit

Next was the lizard she climbed up on him gave me her infamous lizard tongue and was off yet again..At this point I think is where she decided to get brave...there was no coixing no telling her to tey to climb through the golf ball slot in the great BIG house...she just decided to give it a shot. Of course this momma who doesnt like closed spaces panicked for a moment. However she is one determined little girl and well....She decided she was going to go for it....And she did pigtails and all...The perfect little space for her...by this point she had the other golfers rolling (I think we all were and her daddy could have hid under the nearest stone)Not her she was ready to do it again and again and again....

Until she discovered the WHALE... which is a whale of a tale for the next blog post

New Years night 2011

Now at this point is where putt putt got FUNNY...beecause lets face it the only 2 who were into the game were daddy and Callen...P decided to venture and well mommy followed only to capture her crazy shenanigans from putt putt 2011

If your ever in Austin...

Over the Christmas holiday you know this is a HUGE tradition....lets just say we made it the last day of the year in 2011 and we had a BLAST.... We decided that our New Year's night should include doing whatever the littles wanted to do. So after dinner with Uncle Daniel we headed to the Zilker Park Christmas tree.Isnt the tree a beautiful sight...I remember being a young little girl thinking WOW look how BIG it is... ahh the memoriesNothing like spinning with your daddy under the Christmas tree and by that SMILE I think it means she was LOVING it...Let the racing begin..... Callen races his daddy, his mommy and his sister over and over and overWhile she never beat him you can tell it was all FUN

Stopping for a moment to take it all in!!

Ahh the magic under that tree

7 times the FUN

It goes a little something like this....

Baby #1 a BOY 2005

Baby #2 a BOY 2007

Baby #3 a GIRL 2009

Baby #4 a GIRL 2010

Baby #5 a GIRL 2010

Baby #6 a BOY 2011

Baby #7 a GIRL 2011

talk about a growing family....and I dont think we would have it ANY other way!!

of course there order in this picture is

# 2 Callen, #3 Paisley, #4 Madi, #7 Caroline, #1 Kayden, #5 Mackenzie &#6 Braxton

Double the trouble--double the FUN

Lets just say these 2 BIG boys are spoiled.....

But I couldnt resist the cuteness in this picture I think they were playing a game against each other lol

I case those of you dont know it is NEVER a dull moment with boys NEVER.... just wait till I get to the post of what Callen did to Paisley last night(and I am NOT proud but I am here to capture the memories even the ones I cringe to think about)

I am going to announce this....

with all that being said...can you see how much she LOVE the new babies in the family... I wouold have to say she is a bit smitten and I am savoring each and every moment she has with them because before we blink they too will be BIG little girls and boys ;) and yes if there is a baby around...my sweet P isnt far from the baby-- she has really mastered holdingthem on her own and helping when she can

Isn't she LOVELY

Ahhhh I told you she was here. And what a great visit we had. But 1st meet sweet Caro-LINE (as Paisley pronounces it ). She is little bitty and has a head FULL of dark hair...let's jsut say she is Precious. It was so much fun meeting her this weekend and seeing her next to Braxton who for the 1st time to myself looked BIG....both such precious bundles!
