Ride 'em Cowboy

These 2 boys have some keen imaginations....have to love creative play. I think we can all agree this weekend there was NO lack in creative play on their parts from boxing, to riding horses to playing football these 2 had a blast!

1st it started like this....

then like this....

My Son

I think I am more in love with this child then the 1st day he was layed in my arms....ahhh those 1st sweet breaths. See this little dude never ceases to amaze me. This weekend he was my helper, he was my go getter and he was my partner. I never once asked for his help it was just like he knew mommy needed him. Together we accomplished ALOT- we set up the playroom, un packing toys and organizing and laughing and even a few tickles in between. He helped with the Christmas tree and he played with his sister. Together we piled in Paisleys closet, set up her bed and hung her bows. Together we trapped a mouse and together we cooked mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving. I am so grateful that we were able to spend 5 full days together.
Callen- I hope you always know how special you are to mommy. You were the one who made me a mommy, you are the one who taught me to love unconditionally and you are who makes me strive to be a better person. While I know our little world is full of imperfections I also know just how full it is of the right stuff. Bud you are the sweetest boy a mommy could ask for. Thank you for being you...your sweet button nose, your beautiful blue eyes and your firecracker personality all scream my little man and for that I am thankful!

Getting Situated...

And feeling right at home! As you can tell someone is quite the little climber at our house

Jerky Anyone?

I think Uncle Chris wanted to give her a little taste and I think someone may have really liked it ;)All smiles after there little tasting session!

As for the sweet-- look at those faces brother picked out chocolate for them because he knew sissy would eat 2 bites then he could have hers-- gotta love a boy with a great mind!Sassy and Sweet with her Nannie-- isnt that the cutest picture!!
All smiles because he made off like a bandit-heehehehe(no worries that sister is one smart gal in fact I think anyone can tell you she can hold her own- especially durning church on Sunday!)

End of Season Party

Last night we celebrated 7 little boys who played there hearts out this fall. We officially had the smallest soccer team but there is no doubt these boys gave it their all. As a mom it makes me so proud to watch each and everyone of the grow and learn and develop firendships that will last a lifetime.
I also have to give credit to Chris as much as he didnt want to be the head coach he did an outstanding job....he has the patience and the desire to help each one of the boys. He never ceased to amaze me weather it be getting down to there level or getting them invloved he always gave 100% and I think that part of the reason why these boys had so much heart.

While it was a learning season for all invloved it was a blast. I know us mommies will miss our Wednesday chit-chat time and our Saturday games but we are all looking forward to Spring soccer and Summer t-ball.

Thank you Luke, Cain, Campton, Keagan, Brady, Dylan and Callen for a wonderful season without yall we would not have had the best Team around---
And way to GO Dinomites and our little Dinomite cheerleaders!

Missing Picture

This is our morning ritual..... of course it was last Monday but notice the apple juice it is a MUST each and every morning we are running on time ;)

And I think sissy has had enough when it comes to being pulled around...

Can you tell?

Moments....

Family

What a FUN Sunday we had--- I think it was great to see all our cousins and Aunts & Uncles on my moms side.... still nice to know even with both my grandparents gone you can pick up just like old timesI think the little ones had the best of times

Of course I dont have many of the little boys because they were outside playing football majority of the time ;)

Dear Baby Gap.....

Yesterday when I was FINALLY able to put thise adorable outfit on my daughter it got me to thinking......how in the world is this a 0-3 month size. Yes Paisley is tiny and petite but I dont know ANY child under 3 months that could wear this and not have it falling off. Sometimes makes me wonde rabout your sizing....but either way we loved the outfit and were so glad princess P could finally wear it!!

Oh and I couldnt resist sharing what a Paisley thinks a lizard does with it's tongue!!

Black Paint

I think my husband thinks maybe I slipped and fell off my rocker-- he called moments ago and said " can I ask you a quick question?" sure whats up-- "um can you tell me why the playroom closet is painted black with white shelves? or did the painter make a mistake" sure can it is chalkboard paint and I had to use it somewhere there is no mistake--- "ahhh I see-- ok well just checking"
heehehehehee yes I have not yet seen this but either way I think it will be lots of fun to write puzzles go here with a cute arrow.....

My little man...

Today my little man isnt feeling to swell-- yesterday about 4 I got a call he was running a low grade temp before I knew it he was sick. Luckily I was there with him when it happened as we were waiting on sissy to get her diaper changed.-- poor dude was a trooper but boy could you tell his little body wasnt up to full speed. I hope he is resting today and that daddy is giving him lots of cuddles till noon-- no doubt he is in good hands!
Get well little man!

18 months

It is hard to believe this little beauty is 18 months today... it is incredible just how fast time flies.

These days you can find her with her sidekick (Callen), talking up a strom and going full throttle ahead. By far she is loveable and a little cuddle monster. Not only that but she loves her baby cousins to pieces and I often feel like she smothers them with too much P sometimes. Although a few weeks ago I caught her trying to sit on one of them and laughing a big 'ol belly laugh (I think she realizes her petite size is just a bit bigger then them). She is still my teeny tiny babe weighing a whooping 20.1 pounds but she is perfect to me!
I cannot wait to watch her over the years grow and blossom and see her relationships take form....there is no doubt she loves Callen and there is a special bond between the 2 of them. I also look forward to the day we are sitting watching our babes and look out the window and watch 3 little princess' having a tea party. There are so many 1st coming our ways and for that I am grateful. Paisley you have brought us so much joy over the last 18 months you are a fighter, a wonderer, a sensative soul and an angel in my eyes. Thank you for being my daughter and giving me all these 1st experiences with you!

7 days

and counting---- we are thrilled that come next weekend our home will be complete. Finishing touches are happening, carpet arrives tomorrow and our house is almost a home. We can touch it and feel it with every ounce of our bodies and I know 2 little munchkins that are counting down the days (one in particular). In fact he is beyond ready- with a few toys in tow he brought last week to his house becaue "mommy it is almost done and they can wait for me here"...yes sweet boy they are waiting and so ready for you to make the house a home.
Pictures to come Monday

Gratitude...

I often think that in the life we often lack GRATITUDE..... I am learning daily that little things keep the world spinning. Lately I have felt nothing more then being ever so thankful for those special people in my life as well as the moments that really shape who you are. I will be the 1st to let it be known that 9 out of 10 times I wont ask for help, I wont make my problems others and at the end of the day I feel I can "try" and do it all. But the reality is now that I have taken the time to slow down, listen to others and really see all there is to be thankful for I am ever so grateful....Thank you to the listening ears, the kind hearts, the prayers and each and every thing done this year to get myself, my family and my children to where we are today.....each and every person that has been there for us knows just how grateful we are. Obstacles have made our family stronger over the years, we now don't take a day for granted. I have realized life is short and oh how sweet it really is...I have 2 incredible blessings bestowed on me and for that I am ever so grateful.....with that being said we are looking forward to the holidays, forward to getting settled in our new home and more importantly we cannot wait to welcome 2011 with open arms and see just what is in store.
Thank you to those who have been there. I could go on and on but the reality is we are ever so grateful! And starting today we plan on paying it forward!

Dribble, Shoot and Score

Last night we ventured to the basketball game to watch Kendall. Of course for those of you that dont know Callen hates the aspects of basketball-- the whisltes, the buzzers, the load noises, the confind space-- all this just isnt his cup of tea. The entire game he sat with his ears covered. We are learning he has a bit of sensory overload to certain thing mainly loud noises and unknown noises.... but last night he was there and supporting Kendall despite his dislikes that come with basketball. I will be the 1st to tell you Kendall is a hustler, a go getter and one tough babe. Last night she got knocked down so hard I told a friend if that was me I would be in tears-- not her up and shaking it off you can really tell she loves this sport.
(my little mess not sure how she gets this dirty everyday)

I am not sure at the final out-come because I had to make it to the store before it closed at 8-- yes the grocery store in our town is lights off at 8.
But I was thankful we were able to go--- and that my kids realy enjoyed themselves-- as for P she was quite the cheerleader!!
(she shares quite well too as long as it isnt her brother she is sharing with)

Chef

I am not sure it gets much cutier then this---Came in last night and saw this-- precious and in the background I hear Blaine Blaine teaching Callen about football. I think it was one of those aww moments.
Bebe and P the food was amazing....and truth be told Callen never ever eats that much-- he loved his chicken (shhhh chicken fried steak)

I wonder in 20 years....

If these 2 will still love eachother this much... I invision lots of bickering and arguements as I have learned my little miss can fully take care of herself when it comes to her brother and watch out because she doenst back down. I have also learned sissy will never get by with a thing because when we pick the kids up from school Callen is the 1st to pip up about sissy's day. I have also seen Paisley in the midst of Callens friends and wonder what is going to happen when they are 16 and not 1&3....oh the joys these 2 bring.

See that littler flirty, flirty face

End of the Season

Saturday ened our soccer season.... it was a great season the kids learned quite a bit and the last game was GREAT. Callen scored 2 goals and we really saw the kids start to pass and use a few techniques.

Thank you DINOMITES for a wonderful season

I am here...we are here

Hello all-- I know my post have been a bit lacking and the reality is we are ever so busy.....from kids school, to work, to our home to the various other things that require our attention daily. So for now I am focusing on the things that we often take for granted that matter the most. I will be back, we will be back but in do time. As life has called or should I say it has blared its voice that there are somethings that need attention like 2 adorable faces that melt my heart each and everyday and a husband that has put up with a cranky wife that all this stuff has taken hold of...so this weekend I am off, we are off with family adventures and memories and much needed time. Blessings to all!!!

Thankful (Day4)

I know this wasnt posted yesterday but last night I was thankful for my husbands safe arrival home-- he pulled some long hours yesterday and when he arrived home he was so tired. But there were 2 little shining stars who were ever do thankful to have their daddy home!!

House Update

While I would like to say we are moved into our house and ready for visitors I will be the 1st to admit that is not the case--- we are close ever so close with in I would say 2 weeks. We at this point are lacking the wood floor and carpet, grout in the master bath, paint on 1 cabinet and a few fixtures-- after that it will be onto finishing the little projects of the exterior like the lights and driveway. This project has been challenging yet I do believe in the end when we are all able to lay our head down in our new home it will be ever so worth it!! Please enjoy the little tour--

Welcome and come on in as you can see we have front doors again and they are beautiful!!

To the left is our dining room minus a few door for the china cabinet

Our living room-- soon to be cozy and ready for visitors

The kitchen and breakfast area-- this is my favorite part of the house probably because I know lots of time and holidays will be spent here

A little closer peek-- yes the backsplash will be a pain for the rest of my life but looking at it it seems so worth the cussing I will be doing when cleaning--notice NO grout lines the positive to splitface tile

Now onto the kids bathroom-- see the fun stripes. Let me be the 1st to say pulling a him and a hers together to be a uniform center TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH....but dont you love the stripes. Callens vanity area is the gold color and Paisleys the white. I have a super super fun painint going up in here----sneak peek

This was a fun project from the old house that never made its way onto the walls before we left-- but of course our kids need rules so I am thinking every night when they are bathing I will make them recite them- heehehehee

Splish splash the tub awaits

And now I jump back over to the other side of the house to the powder room-- love that Soloman made my sink work-- just makes me grin!!

The master retreat-- I am thinking when we move in I will be hunkering down in here for the winter

And the bathroom-- a dreamy little fixture

Still needing a little paint!!

Chris's cave-- aka the shower

And to conclude the tour-- yesterday they surprised me with stair treads-- LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!
