House Update

Well I cannot wait to post pictures tomorrow on the house progress--
It has come leaps and bounds thus far
cabinets ~check
paint~check
tile completion~check
countertops~check
lighting~check (except the fixtures this mommy just ordered)
electricity~ CHECK well on Monday
ac~ next week
wood floors~next week
carpet~ next friday
moving day~ 2/3 weeks and counting
I have to admit I am beyond ready to move. I wish they would give me one completed room that I could start making home but unfortunately for me things just dont work that way. I have the blinds ordered the shutters taken care of and now I just need the OK to MOVE. Now dont get me wrong in 3 weeks there may not be a driveway or sidewalks much less landscaping but isnt all that trivial?? No worries with or without that we are MOVING because if you havent gotten the notice this momma is sooooo ready.
I even had Callen tell me MOM lets just stay here tonight-- little buddy if it were only that easy although life is better now that we have potties :)

Sassyfras

Ok I have to admit-- last night hubs told me today it was going to be cool-- I was sooo excited at the thought-- of course 44 cool and 71 cool are night and day different. So when P made it outside she was a bit overdressed for the NOT so cool weather. Needless to say at school we changed her shoes and took her little hat off.Her new name besides BRUISER which let me be the 1st to warn you she now has a green bruise on her head that is the size of a golf ball- is SASSYFRAS because she loves to put shoes and bows on.
Sweet sweet baby!!

If you roll your windows down..

and listen real close about 5:30 in the evenings-- you will hear my car rockin and singing our favorite song--uh oh uh oh stuck on you, you and me baby were stuck like glue....there is a little diva dancing in the backseat and my heart is fluttering because lets face it that song sums up what I fell about these 2 because we are stuck like glue!!Sad when I have to capture them strapped in
but ohhhh soooo cute

Doesnt get any better then singing with the windows down and the air blowing through your hair
and yes shame on me-- she still gets a paci every now and them

By the way have you noticed the little diva in our house just how long her hair is getting??

What they want....

They typically get.... and now that it has become monkey see monkey do it makes ice cream time all that much messier!! but at the end of the day I wouldnt have it anyother way

My Smiles

When times get tough it is amazing just how these 2 can make me smile....there isnt a day goes by that I am not a blessed person to be their mommy and so thankful for them.
See that smile-- it is just amazing to me what gets taken for granted
Or that little wink letting me know he is taking good care of his sister
Or those giggles they share when they are being silly and hiding from mommy
Of course getting them to take pictures that are not on the fly is soooooo much harder then you will ever realize!!

A laugh for the day

I am not sure how I could have forgotten to post these pictures-- but somehow they got overlooked. Lets just say if this were a video you would have heard ALOT of laughing going on from myself, Aunt Kim and Aunt Lindsay. The funniest part is Callen was carrying on a full conversation and not bothered at all by his legs that were squezzed into the exercauser. I am thinking he was testing the little princess's of the house by playing with there toy!! Sorry girls I guess Callen was calling rank lets just HOPE this was just a fluke and he wont have me pulling out our exercauser.

I think Paisley was wondering WHAT IS GOING ON-- or maybe secretly she was rolling her eyes and laughing too--
And yes sister had some wild pigtail leftover hair

One day I forsee these coming back to haunt him-- maybe his senior year

At the end of the day

Today I find myself reaching and gasping to find my energy-- I feel like the last few week have come and gone and I have not accomplished much. You could say I am running on empty. The reality is I am searching-- not sure what I am exactly searching for but trust me I am searching. Searching ways to be a better mother, ways to spread myself amoungst the millions of projects from cleaning to gearing for a move to having some one on one time with each love in my family. I am learning we are far from perfect we have obstacles to climb, seeds to sow and years of learning to go. I am toying with right and wrong with the what to dos and the whatnots. And since I am being honest at this moment I am wondering what is my happiness.....there is one thing I can tell you my loves at home are more then my happiness so tonight I will grab my 2 little bitty's and head to the park-- because today they are the spark I need. I want to see their smiles, hear their squels, see the love they share and honestly just take in the moment. So tonight for myself that is what we will be doing.

There will still be the laundry, the cooking the cleaning and the mundane left to do but tonight my babes need some attention--they need to have just me to play and run and kiss and hug them! And tonight all those tensions are gone because as I have been reminded life is short and at the end of the day it is a matter of the breaths you take it is a matter of the moments that take your breath away--and I am ever so greatful for what has brought these feelings to light. So tonight hold your loved ones and little closer, read just one more book to your babes when you are ask and remember all the to dos will still be there tomorrow!

So here is to a Magical Friday!!

Theme Day

Today without realizing it my kids were dressed in a bit of a theme-- I was able to capture my little octopus-- the PIRATE was having NO part of my camera this morning--as he was too busy entertaining his sister and eating his doughnuts

Tea Party

Little Miss P had her 1st Tea Party last night-- it was too cute. I have to admit her age showed through alot compared to the other little girls in her class just my reminder that she is still very, very young.
Paisley was all about the chocolate cookie & the sunglass and jewelry. She did not understand the gloves or sipping your tea (juice). She prayed like a big girl and sat for a moment then she was off looking for adventure.
I have to say this little Tea Party was PRECIOUS and I cannot wait until she is a bit older to fully understand--Happy Birthday Madelyn!!!

Flooring

It is official the flooring has begun at our house-- although I secretly think the floor guys are cussing me-- shhhh dont tell them!!I have to say I LOVE it which typically in my world means my hubs will hate it. See we tend to be quite night and day. The 2 rules I was given going into this was no wood floor in the main area (he hated our old floor) and he wanted tile which ment tile in all the main areas as he told me tile, tile, tile. So I tried my hardest to meet all his request although I secretly think he wont like this tile but we will see. His comment last night was "it's nice I cant wait to see what it looks like when finished" lets hope that is a good comment!!

When it came to the flooring I have to admit it was a hard, hard decision and it having to be tile made it even harder but when I saw this it was definately love at first sight now dont get me wrong to many this flooring would be a no go-- but I was striving for something lets say outside the box.

Callen's reaction from what his daddy tells me was COOL!!!

Now let me PLEASE ask for suggestions because since this flooring wasnt my idea for the living room because I have always known carpet in those areas I need suggestions and ideas to make it cozy and warm (remember even here in Texas tile tends to get cold in the winter) and I dont want frost bite on my babies toes-- so I will gladly take ideas other then socks because me kiddos and socks dont mix!!

Happy Wednesday!!

W-O-N-D-E-R

If they will be like this when they are 16?
Anytime Callen is behind the wheel and sissy in the passenger seat-- he is ALWAYS singing to her.
The funny thing is was this was unreahersed and just the norm even when they were taking pictures
