Well they were on board...

The littles were very excited.. Paisley was so excited she shouted "MOM I want to pray for Grampy and write him a note" lets just say we decided they would take turns choosing whom we write to today will be Callens day. I videoed her pray for him and then we quickly turned it into a special note that we will take him today. I think this is going to be a very special time for my littles.

I am so greatful that they LOVE and care for Grampy so much on a average week we go by 3 or 4 times and stay around an hour. Some days it entails us bringing Grampy and our new found friend Jack food for dinner, some days it is a crayz glittery goofy eye-ball heart they have made and some days it is just to stop by and share Callens reading, or them both saying the states, or Paisley's new dance. Words cannot explain how blessed we are to be able to just drop in say hi and it is the sweetest moments each morning when Paisley says "There's grampys house...he is there getting strong but he will be home soon" my babies listen they take it all in and they are sweet and caring (dont get me wrong they DEFINATELY have there days)

So Grampy there is no doubt you are very very special especially since Paisley picked you for day one. Thank you for blessing us with your sweet little smile and you loving hand that holds ours each time we walk through the door!

Lent

So last night I got to thinking about Lent and what I could do/ give up or change that could really make a difference. Not only do I need to impact my life but I need to impact the littles as well. I have decided that each night we will sit down and pray for one special person of their choosing and we will also write them a letter letting them know how blessed we are to have them in our lives. This gives me 40 days and nights with my little ones to make sure we count our blessing. This is going to be very imprompt and will be of there choosing(because I want this to be somehting they have alot of say in)-- of course lets hope we are not praying for our dolls or our tractors as I am going to really use this time to teach them just how much they have to be thankful for! I am so excited to begin tonight and cannot wait to see who my 2 littles choose to pray for and write a special note to.

Let the journey begin!!!

I hope you dance.....

I cannot explain to you how much this sweet girl likes dance.... she waits for the entire week to dance, she practices at home, she watches it on TV and she quickly corrects you if you use the wrong dance term ( I said sugars instead of shimmy the other night and quickly got put in my place). I hope her life is filled with many dances and that she continues to grow and learn since she by far is the tinest dancer in the class..... happy dancing sweet girl!

Callen's 1st Dentist Trip

Yesterday Callen had his 1st dentist visit and I have to tell you I was proud. Mainly because it is a pediatric dentist and moms and dads are not allowed in the back soooo that was HUGE. After our little consultation about what he should expect he hand in hand with the nurse went to the back for his xrays, cleaning and a little playtime.

When he was done he had a incredible report-- he has a class 1 mouth (which he must get from his daddy) his bit is good, no cavities, good spacing and all the other stuff that comes with being a class 1.

I was proud he was proud and afterwards we went for a little one on one time to chick-fil-a (his choosing)

Proud...

I am going to post one of those proud mom moments... no pictures just words.

Paisley started dance a few weeks ago. She was very shy and timid in starting but for some reason form the get go her well my ;) (sweet Callen) has been such a great supporter. He has encouraged her, he has held her hand, he has sat in the room with her, he has watched her from behind the curtain, he has worried for her and most importantly he has been there for her. I am so proud that these 2 do that for each other. I am so blessed for the bond they share and the fact that Callen is such a caring soul.

He is my child that strives to have perfection...mom is it "perfect" is often the words I hear. He worries about worries that shouldn't effect him~ is grampy doing better? will he come home? is Braden's body still fighting his cancer? Is Paisley going to be ok? He even was beyond worried last night when I was having a pain in my right side while I was mentioning we may go to the doctor he got tears in his eyes want to know if I would be ok, what was wrong, could he help, could he hug me? I am telling you this boy has a soul many years beyond his age. I am grateful that the man upstairs molded him to perfection for his daddy and myself to raise.

The bottom line is I love the fact that Callen is there for his sister and that when her heart hurts his hurts. I think all to often we get caught up in the world of go go go that we dont put the time where it needs to be. So my challenge for you today is to call your brother, your sister, your best friend and let them know that you were thinking about just them.....to you it may not mean a thing but to someone who is having or needing that comfort it may mean the world.

Such a little Momma

There is no doubt she loves babies....

and I think this pictures says it all
Such a sweet little momma

Melt my Heart

Yesterday me and the littles decided we were going to visit the nursing home. We drive by daily and Paisley says "MOM I can see Grampy's house.. " love that she calls it his house rather then a nursing home. So we went home at 5 took the chicken noodle soup that had been simmering all day out, made some chocolate and cookie pudding and cut up the pumpkin roll I had made...then we were on our way.... Lets just say we LOVE days we visit. We even snuck Mr. Jack some pumpkin roll (he sits at the table with grampy and take P for rides in his electric "wheelie" car-- as P calls it.

It was the perfect end to a Tuesday!!

A little snip

** sorry for the upside down picture blogger is rearranging them all for me ;)

**** story to follow**** let just say you get a cute new sassy due when your brother snips your hair ;)
