He's back...

The little terrible 2 year old was missing this morning and the sweet, loving little boy was back!!! He was giving me sugars, daddy snuggles and as always lots of sweet loving to his best friend or should I say sister--Miss Paisley Emersyn who was adoring the attention of her big brother and loving watching him play tractors.

Sometimes we ignore what Daddy says....

See sometime we ignore what daddy says and pretend we never heard him. But yesterday when he said Paisley looked like a Christmas present I got to thinking.......she is a gift (not a christmas present----more gift then you could ever ask for). She is a gift from God and we are so thankful he blessed us to raise this sweet little angel. Each day with my family I try not take for granted the time we spend together and just how special they truely are as you never know if you will be blessed with another day together. Paisley is a gift in every sense and we are blessed she is doing so well and growing so big. Hard to look back to May and see what a bumpy road we were on compared to now.

Ever since harvest began.....

Ever since harvest began my sweet little boy has turned my living room upside down.....most nights it looks like mice have played in the house and eaten all daddy's corn off the ears and just left a mess. However the little mice doing all this work is normally tuckered out snuggled in mommy and daddy's bed slumbering away until he wakes in the morning and says those first sweet words...."play tractor mommy".....oh the joy of boys!!

Do you see what I see?

Today started as a rough one for sissy...neither her or I got much sleep last night. Then bright and early she got shots....as you can tell she was definately looking like a diva when we headed to the doctor!

We started with a little measuring and a weigh in.....she is now 20 1/2 inches, 15 inch head and weighing a whooping 9.3 lbs....way to go little girl. She is finally on the curve in all area except height which we have been informed is slow to cathc up in premies. Next came the shots and she was a pretty good trooper....following the visit we had a few errands to run.

Now I know ear piercing isnt for everyone and some people may think what a mean mom to take her not yet 3 month old to have her ear pierced. But her daddy and I talked and we decided that the day she got shots and was already very uncomfortable would be the best day to get her ears done! She was a trooper yet she did let me know she DID NOT LIKE what I was having done. However she made it through like the little champ she is, plus she has been pricked more times in her first months of life then many of us in decades........And now she is snoozing away just like the angel she is! Hopefully the day will be smooth and fever free so this sweet girl.

What have we created....

I am beginning to wonder what kind of little kid we are creating....last night we went to put Callen to sleep (without a bath...gasp) and figured we would bathe him in the morning so he was ready for school. As we are laying down he says mommy bath? Then proceeds to say mommy itch need a bath, all while rubbing his legs saying "I itch"......I think we have created a bath monster. Because the child had not been anywhere not even outdoors. He just knows how to work us like you wouldnt believe. He would stay in there all night if we would let him and the sad thing is he doesnt mind the cold water one bit because he turned off the hot and was fillin it up with cold drinking the water and singing after I checked on Sissy who he did say could join him in the cold bath.....sissy passed she prefers a nice warm QUIET bath.

Shhhh we havent told Callen...

Shhh it is a secret but tonight we are doing something FUN....and we haven't told Callen just yet because we know he would bug us and talk about it all day. Are you wondering what it is yet? We are heading to Houston to have dinner with UNCLE GREG and AUNT LINDSAY. Callen will be super excited because he and Uncle Greg are pretty inseparable during the time that Greg is home from Africa. Basically we all become DOG MEAT if you know what I mean. It is my Greg this, and my Greg that and I am going with Greg...Greg....Greg....Greg

Not that the sweet boy doesn't LOVE everyone in their own special way but him and GREG are like to peas in a pod. Even Granny says Callen should have been Greg's child because he is the opposite of his daddy!!! Fortunately he is our lovable, busy, high maintenance dude!!

So SURPRISE sweet little boy we are taking you for dinner with GREG!!!!

Ever wanna......

Just throw the biggest tantrum ever because your nerves are being tested beyond belief....I thought about it this morning when this sweet little dude went into terrible 2 mode!!!

This is definately NOT what we were seeing at home...the sweet loving little boy....the little boy we saw was strong-willed and had a mind of his own and there was NO stopping the fit once it started!!!

The Great Blowout '09

Well it happened this morning......I knew eventually it would happen because I remember the Great Blowout '07 with Callen like it was yesterday.

Lets reminisce.....we were in the middle of construction on our house and had taken Aunt Lindsay with us to look at lighting at Hall Electric. Halfway through looking around Callen decide to have a diaper blowout....all over him, his blanket, the floor and anything in his way! We cleaned the floor the best we could and left....I was completely embarrassed.

Now little Misses would have to happen at work!!! She was sitting here so peacefully in her car seat. Then I heard the push and before I could get her out it was everywhere...all over her, her car seat, me, my desk.....oh the joys and she was looking quite ADORABLE this morning in her outfit BIG brother helped me pick out....

The chunk hangs out at work....

Me and my little chunky monkey can often be found hanging out together at work! She makes one heck of and insurance agent and is learning early. The only downfall is the girl likes to sleep!

Now to the weekend...PAISLEY STYLE

First thing first on Miss Paisley's weekend agenda was to play a little dress up with mom. You gotta love when a baby isnt big enough to tell you NO and you can dress them in the cutest of clothes. We call her the little diva because I think she eat is up.....Then we have ROLL call.....we have fun with this sweet little sister has the chubs right now and I have to admit I LOVE all the rolls and the belly....so we let her lay on the floor and we give her some extra special lovin...she just has to be careful because BIG brother likes to LOVE on little sister.

Next we get her ready for her first (oops I mean second) swimming debut. The suit is compliments of Laura it was Princess Emma's first but we are so greatful for the GREAT hand-me-downs. As you can tell she isnt having any of this swimming stuff!Then we give her a bottle and some more loving and she becomes the BELLE of the BALL....she decided she loves us again and will continue being her precious self hands crossed and all.

Next we go for a quick ride to mommy's work...but it looks like mommy forgot to work and work and starts in again on the pictures......I just want my kids to know what it is like having there pictures taken 24/7....because one day. This snap snap snap will be out the window till then they live life in the FAB lane.

Whats a girl to do....

When mommy puts her in brothers old clothes.....that are all blue and people may think what a cute little boy...
She put a BIG 'OLE bow in her hair....this is somehting the girl NEVER leaves home without. As we all know it is tough stuff being a princess!

A little weekend re-cap...CALLEN STYLE

Well Saturday consisted of hangingwith the mommy and what a non-fun post that would be. But Sunday the kiddos Mimi and Pappy came to town and Callen had a blast. It started with a trip to the Yummy "choo cho train restraunt" as Callen calls it. Then it led to a little of this.....


And this.....some serious fun talks with Mimi ~ who wasnt afraid of the water that was mighty chilly.

And some of this......funny faces with Pappy who spent most of his time eyeing the PRINCESS of the pool...but this boy wasnt gonna be undersold...hemade sure to steal the show back!

And lots of this.....pure cuteness and watching kiddos play and have a good 'olke time!
And as we all know a weekend is NEVER complete with out some of this....The fun thing is this time Callen got to be a little teacher and show Mimi and Pappy just what he LOVEs to do!!!

When all goes SOUTH...

Well, I have found myself wondering what do you do when everything goes wrong.....Bad crops, screaming kids, not enough ours in the day, crazy work schedules, no one to help (cause daddy has crazy harvest hours), a little dude that is DEFINATELY in his terrible 2's and a sweet girl that ALWAYS wants to eat.

Truth is Callen summed up what I have been wanting to do for days the other night on the ride home from the farm. Paisley was crying because she was hungry and Callen hates to hear her cry and usually gives her her Paci or sugars...but straped into carseats what is a boy to do. Take a look.....look closer.... YOU COVER YOUR EARS AND FALL FAST ASLEEP....

~ Do yall think mommies could do this? NOPE not that easy I hate hearing my kids cry but gotta love what they do when it all goes South!

THe First Ride of the Year

Well it is that time again....and my sweet boy made sure he was with his daddy for the first ride of the year. You can tell by the pictures Callen was busy checking out the combine. Since that first ride everyday he has asked to ride the combine with his daddy. This is normally the part you wait for every year HARVEST however this year it isnt pretty but we are making the best of it and know next year Daddy will but just as much into it and we will pray for a year of good weather and rain something that just didnt happen this year but fortunately we have had many other blessings.
