Treats....

Go ahead GASP and think she is one of those MOMS---Let me start by saying YES I am.... I choose to let my kids help me cook!

Last night we decided to make cupcakes for Callen's class at school unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it they dont really celebrate Halloween as a holiday because he goes to a church type school---and I am OK with that because he learns more religion stuff that to me is more valuable then Halloween. But being the MOM I am I decided to ask if I could bring treats for the kids this Friday and they allowed me to which we are thankful. See I want to instill in my children the LOVE for doing for others and not expecting a thing in return because LORD knows we are blessed beyond measure--a loving family, healthy children, a home to live in--this list is abundant and I am GREATFUL for what we have because I know it could be soooo much less. So last night Callen and I decided we were going to make cupcakes for his class a way he could do something special for others....

Callen was a GREAT helper in every sense---pouring water, cracking eggs, measuring and stirring. THANKS LITTLE DUDE!!!

Can you tell the intensity----he was soo into making cupcakes for his friends and although he wanted soooo badly to eat them he waited and today will savor the moment when he gets to share cupcakes with his friends and eat that special one.

He was PROUD and I was PROUD of him for so willingly doing for others even though in the end he too will be rewarded last night it was ALL about his friends.

Afterwards he did get to lick the icing and that was a BIG TREAT for him!!!

Love

You know just the other day I was asked a question--one of those catch ya off guard questions

What do you want for your daughter?

First thought I want the same for both my kids to love life, be well behaved, understanding, happy, caring oh the list goes on and on

but what do I want for my little girl---hmmm

well this that I stumbled across sums up part of what I want.....

"To have fire and ice in her blood. To be able to ride horses, be a debutante, throw left hook or right all the while making sweet tea, darlin'. And if she has an opinion, you know you're gonna hear it.” (that's my girl if you have an opinion stand by it because trust me if you don't no one else will) oh and to be able to be the girliest of girls yet get right in wiht those boys and mud wrestle (or at least try it once)

that sums up what I want my sweet princess to be---able to hold her own yet be sweet and southern right down to the core, never be scared because she knows her mommy and daddy are standing right behind her and her brother he's always gonna have that girls back I knew that the moment we brought her home---OH THOSE TWO LOVE EACHOTHER like it is something else

She watches him, studies him, laughs at him (so far he is the ONLY one to make her belly chuckle) and he gives her those kind of hugs where you bite your tongue and want to squeeze so hard yet so soft your arms shake--LOVE brother ans sisterly love that is what it is and while over the years I know those two will battle it out and have there differences one this will remain--LOVE

In LOVE....

Oh me oh my...for 2 days I have been anxiously awaiting to get my hands on these and guess what they are HERE in all there GLORY....

Now I REFUSE to share them all but one YES I can share one hmmm but which one because the rest will be surprises well for those of you I havent leaked the suprise too....

Ok drummmmm rollllllll........

Please give Kassie all the credit as she did and AMAZING job---THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!

This GIRL is something ELSE!!!

This CRAZY cute thing that joined our CRAZY clan almost 6 months ago.....is kissable, snuggable and OH so loveable!!
And this CRAZY mommy LOVES dressing her up--Have you noticed?
Look at her styling a little Halloween Outfit for all you ghost and goblins out there!!

Know she LOVES ALL PEOPLE
AND she LOVES others even those she doesnt know all two well.....we thought about sending her home with these two because they are soo darn cute themselves but we choose to keep her so she could join in the HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL as well!!!

Why Little boys have to wear a HAT to church!

Are you wondering why Callen is sporting a HAT after church?
Well let me explain.......He had to wear a hat before and after church because his daddy (who was trying to help) gave him a bath--bathe him all up washed his hair and his hinney and then opened all his tub PAINT and let him paint my tub all up. Got him out of the tub dried him off, dressed him, read to him, kissed him hugged him. When we woke up Sunday morning mommy dressed him and guess what....HE WAS SPORTING PUNK ROCKER HAIR!! Guess daddy didnt notice that Callen had painted the right side of his hair BLUE---so what do you do when church starts 40 minutes after you notice and there is NO time for a bath.
You let the little dude sport a hat before and after church and let all the parishoners get a good laugh during church because you kid has BLUE hair!!!

BIG Hopes......

This was my conversation with my sweet 2 year old last night....

Callen: MOM whatcha doing?

Mom: Making a stick for Nannies work party!

Callen: What party?

Mom: The one where Nannie is giving away the gator and tractor.

Callen: Oh yeah--- NOT MY GATOR.....

Mom: No Callen NOT you GATOR the one at Nannie's house for her work

Callen: Oh YEAH the gator and tractor....

Mom: Yes Callen that gator and tractor

Callen: Mom

Mom: Yes Callen

Callen: I am gonna win that TRACTOR.....

Mom: We will see Callen I hope you win but if you dont we will be happy for whom ever wins--

Callen: YEAH-- I am happy see my happy stickers (he gets happy stickers when he is good eats well etc and has to have 5 before he can go to the football game on Fridays and keep in mind he can LOOSE stickers as well)

Mom: Yes Callen you are happy 1 more sticker to go and we can go to the game tomorrow

Callen: Ok Mom need help with your stick - I'll get the corn

Mom: Thanks Callen

Ahhhh I love this kid....he is strongwilled like you wouldnt believe, kind hearted, LOVES to do for others, LOVES his sister like no tomorrow in fact last night they feel assleep holding hands (melt my heart), stubborn like a mule but you know what when the day is said and done GOD made this kid something special--- I often say he should have been my last and not my first because he can test me like no other but when it all boils down--if he was my last and not my first I would not appreciate what I have! 2 Precious babes that are totally different personalities that weigh eachother out like you wouldnt believe and as a mom you have to LOVE that.....so similar yet so opposite...Thanks Callen for making my a mommy!! And Thanks Paisley to making my a mommy again and a mommy of a princess (because you are definately that)-- I LOVE you two to the MOON AND BACK!

I just cant get ENOUGH!!!

This little girls is so happy it is just contagious......I seriously cant get enough of her and I might add she LOVES kisses under the neck, on the chunker cheeks, noisey kisses, soft kisses, kisses that tickle.....the girl just LOVEs kisses...or maybe it is the momma that loves the kisses and Paisley just tolerates them because she is sooooo HAPPY.....naaaa the GIRL LOVES KISSES!!

Bebe read the shirt close....this one is for you!!!

Yeah I think she just maybe a FUTURE HOMECOMING QUEEN---chunky cheeks and all!!

Take Time...

As I laid in bed last night snuggling between 2 cuties this poem ran through my mind.....with our fast paced days and things never slowing down I realized it is time to savor the moments with my kids as they are growing so fast....So as I watched them sleep, felt there sweet breath on my cheek, stroked there hair and realized I am NOT going to miss a moment. There are those who dont savor there children and those who often send there children here or there so they can do what they feel is more important however these sweet babies that we are raising......they are the most important because one day they will grow up and what we instill in them now will play large rolls in there future...savor the moments...they pass quickly!

I know it sounds CRAZY but we have only left Callen for 4 days of his entire life--that I can remember and you know I document EVERYTHING....the first 2 days and nights were on a trip where he stayed with his Mimi and Pappy and Bebe and the 2nd 2 days and nights where when his sissy decided to join us with a bang he spent those with Nannie and Popo--- now I dont forsee that anytime soon little Miss will be out of our sight because I have to admit we are all quite protective of her but that is in part to many reasons ....not that she doesnt go here or there for hours without us and we are greatful to those who have kept her and loved her and taken such good care of her but a whole night---heavens NO not just yet! But the time is coming where she two will get to have a slumber party---and with her brother by her side there is no doubt he will make sure to take good care of her because that is what he does! There is just something about brother and sisterly LOVE!

"SLOW DANCE"
Have you ever watched kids On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last.
Do you run through each day On the fly?
When you ask How are you? Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done Do you lie in your bed With the next hundred chores Running through your head?
You'd better slow down Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last.
Ever told your child, We'll do it tomorrow? And in your haste, Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die Cause you never had time To call and say,"Hi"
You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day, It is like an unopened gift.... Thrown away.
Life is not a race. Do take it slower Hear the music Before the song is over.

We were sad this morning.....

When we woke up and realized this special visitor of ours was gone......we were sad. As we all had a blast yesterday with Pappy or course some more then others but come on who wouldnt feel a little spoiled when pappy rides in your jeep, reads special stories with you, takes a nap with you in a special place, takes you to lunch at the choo choo resturaunt, share popsicles with you and takes you to the park AND the movies........Please I would be sad to heck I was sad....my extra hands were gone.

Dont get me wrong this girl got some good loving too but the boy he needed his Pappy---and it was a day to remember for him!!!

Look at that cheeeeesy smile.....he thought Pappy's car was pretty cool......lol what kid wouldnt?

Can you tell I LOVE this boy!!!!

And all NIGHT all this boy wanted was the WHEEL to Kevin's tractor groom cake....thanks Kevin for making sure he got the wheel!!!

The funny thing is he told me " Mama this is the best wheel EVER".....I think he was right because he dug in that cake and ate it by the fist fuls!!!

Ahhhh and these two love eachother more then any of us will ever know!!! Never a moment where he isnt loving her or her eyeing him.....watch out world when these two are older they are going to defiantely do some ROCKIN'

This is what Paisley did most the time.....each time in different arms...lucky for me there were sooooo many people willing to LOVE this precious girl while I chased the dude around!
