Seussy Party...

I wanted to share a sneaky peek with all of you from our party-- the actual birthday party post will go up this weekend time willing. I do have to say I think this was my most favorite party yet. Of course each party I say that but it seemed to all fall together and it was nice not running around having daddy making something on the grill although I know next year we will shoot for a Saturday but either way the party was a smashing success. Callen had loads of family and friends there to celebrate with him and we are forever greatful for all of you in our lives.

The day wouldnt have been a success without the tremendous amount of help we received!! From de-seeding Jalepenos, to closet cleaning(yes you heard that right) and everything in between.

Now onto some PARTY previews...
Welcome to the Crazy Cat's House (thanks L for letting us borrow the green wreaths they were PERFECT)

DID you HEAR....

Did you hear, did you hear...that someone special just turned 4.

My how times flies I feel like I have blinked and 4 years have gone before my eyes. I remember yesterday bringing this sweet little bundle of blue home. He was a perfect fit for us and ever so precious...he has always had a personality that is demanding yet sweet, kind and sensitive. I can tell you 4 was like a lite switch for my little dude..there seems to be so much more he is able to do, able to eat and able to articulate. 4 must be a pretty special number.

Of course to me 4 means I have been a mommy to the biggest blessing of my life. He was my 1st sweet babe and the 1st to make me a mommy, he is a great big brother and always tends to the needs of his sissy.

So you ask what is Callen McKray up to at the age of 4, well let me share.
He can rock his numbers thru 20
He can tell you 10 of the states
He can say the pledge, prayer and he can tell you everything about the state of Texas
He has recently switched schools and we have seen the strides
He is outgoing loves soccer, baseball and football while he alos like basketball he is NOT a fan of the whistle
He is his sisters #1 fan
He wears a size 9 shoe and is in size 5 clothes
He can bounce the ball and shoot from a distance
He can spell 90% of his name lets face it he doesnt stand a chance on the last name anytime soon

He is most definately still learning but each day we are greatful for the gift that we were given in him....my sweet little boy you are such a wonderful son and big brother!

There is so much I feel like I am missing but let me tell you 4 is a blessing and it has no doubt been the best 4 years of my life!!

Sunday FUN day...

Lets just say SUNDAY was a GREAT day!!

It was filled with love, laughter and lots of celebrating this sweet boy turning 4

From the monet we rolled out of bed-- the day was HAPPY and all about or sweet Callen

If I had only known the changes truning 4 would bring-- and the funniest thing is these are all changes Callen has decided upon..like the fact he can get out of bed now on his own, or the fact he now drinks an occasional glass of milk, eats carrots and bananas.....my heavens the difference a year makes. Little man you are such and incredible blessing and we cherish you each and everyday

Soccer Saturday

This Saturday we once again had out early morning soccer game...we were minus a few players but the boys pulled together and had yet another WONDERFUL game. This time Callen even scored a goal and let me tell you he was beyond excited!!! YEAH buddy!!
Starting with a prayer

We love having family come and watch and this week we had a crowd full~ there was Bebe, Mimi, Pappy, Aunt Insdsay, Kenzie and Mrs. Mary along with mommy and Paisley of course.

We are so blessed to be a part of a wonderful team of boys...there bond is so close and they each help to create this special team.

Congratulations TIGERS again on another WIN!!!

Oh my..

Seems like the blog has been a little on the back burner...either way it is time for some MAJOR catch up post.

A week back we had the cutest little visitors come to the farm, while the visit didnt go as planned we still had a great time. I will tell you one thing Emma and Gavin are 2 of the best and sweetest little bitties around.
1st thing on our agenda was soccer practice which of course ment a stop at the snowcone stand. I think everyone liked that adventure ;) After soccer practice we headed out to the duck store. As many of you know there is a resturaunt that my children love and they have named it the duck store.

Once we arrived we knew that we were in animal heaven for the little ones, everyone ate their dinner perfectly and then headed out to the duck pond with the BIGGEST bucket of popcorn.

Each little one feed the ducks, and geese and a chicken or two until their little hearts were content.
My children who live this life daily were a bit on the standofish side when it came to the animals but the 2 little ones from the "city" they loved eachand every animal they saw even to the bugs (which Paisley kindly squished in from of them).

Upon arrival this little doll told me she had some $$ and was going to buy a chicken because her mom said it would be ok... it was beyond sweet and had I had a chicken we would have glady sent it her way. She is madly inlove with any animal you throw her way and I would love to go to the zoo or on a safari with her!

Once we were home we got bathed and then me and the older 2 made bunny cookies and oh how scrumptious they were!!
The next morning we headed out to the farm-- for a little tractor riding. It was a blast!! Of course the sprayer is bigger then the tractor but Laura and Emma didnt mind one bit they went along for a ride and me and the 2 littlest waved from the car!!

That afternoon we headed to one of the cow pastures and fed each and every cow that camer our way...rumor has it Mrs. laura even rode the bull??? hmmmm

Gavin and Emma were a dream to watch and were right in the mix when it came to feeding them.
I have learned that there is nothing better then taking the time to smell the roses (or in this case the cows) it was a wonderful experience to really just get 2 days to sit, let the kids be kids and not have a schedule to live by. We are ever so greatful for this sweet families friendship and the funny thing it was blogging that had brought us together ;) Thank you Laura, Emma & Gavin for the visit!!
