I am here...we are here

Hello all-- I know my post have been a bit lacking and the reality is we are ever so busy.....from kids school, to work, to our home to the various other things that require our attention daily. So for now I am focusing on the things that we often take for granted that matter the most. I will be back, we will be back but in do time. As life has called or should I say it has blared its voice that there are somethings that need attention like 2 adorable faces that melt my heart each and everyday and a husband that has put up with a cranky wife that all this stuff has taken hold of...so this weekend I am off, we are off with family adventures and memories and much needed time. Blessings to all!!!

Thankful (Day4)

I know this wasnt posted yesterday but last night I was thankful for my husbands safe arrival home-- he pulled some long hours yesterday and when he arrived home he was so tired. But there were 2 little shining stars who were ever do thankful to have their daddy home!!

House Update

While I would like to say we are moved into our house and ready for visitors I will be the 1st to admit that is not the case--- we are close ever so close with in I would say 2 weeks. We at this point are lacking the wood floor and carpet, grout in the master bath, paint on 1 cabinet and a few fixtures-- after that it will be onto finishing the little projects of the exterior like the lights and driveway. This project has been challenging yet I do believe in the end when we are all able to lay our head down in our new home it will be ever so worth it!! Please enjoy the little tour--

Welcome and come on in as you can see we have front doors again and they are beautiful!!

To the left is our dining room minus a few door for the china cabinet

Our living room-- soon to be cozy and ready for visitors

The kitchen and breakfast area-- this is my favorite part of the house probably because I know lots of time and holidays will be spent here

A little closer peek-- yes the backsplash will be a pain for the rest of my life but looking at it it seems so worth the cussing I will be doing when cleaning--notice NO grout lines the positive to splitface tile

Now onto the kids bathroom-- see the fun stripes. Let me be the 1st to say pulling a him and a hers together to be a uniform center TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH....but dont you love the stripes. Callens vanity area is the gold color and Paisleys the white. I have a super super fun painint going up in here----sneak peek

This was a fun project from the old house that never made its way onto the walls before we left-- but of course our kids need rules so I am thinking every night when they are bathing I will make them recite them- heehehehee

Splish splash the tub awaits

And now I jump back over to the other side of the house to the powder room-- love that Soloman made my sink work-- just makes me grin!!

The master retreat-- I am thinking when we move in I will be hunkering down in here for the winter

And the bathroom-- a dreamy little fixture

Still needing a little paint!!

Chris's cave-- aka the shower

And to conclude the tour-- yesterday they surprised me with stair treads-- LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!

Retirement

This month marks a new spot here at my office--- on of our agents retired. I have to admit it was sad to see him leave although I know we will still see him quite a bit!!

Best of luck Mr. Storz!!!

Thankful (day2)

Today I am thankful for our health-- it has been a long road to really be able to breath a sigh of relief. Paisley really put alot in to perspective for us because when I think about it we were beyond lucky to not have to face many of the health challenges that a premie entails. I think until the days she was released from the STARS clinic I always worried about soemthing popping up. I faced many a challenge with her from her hearing results and follow ups to her monthly shots last year.....however I am ever so grateful because there are tougher challenges to be fought.

I have learned never take health for granted because it can change in the blink of an eye. I have a wonderful example set forth in my step mother about facing those challenges and never taking a day for granted. She amazes me-- her love her passion and her caring even when she has faced what I consider one fo the worst most heart wrenching challenges a mother could face-- loosing a child, seeing her suffer however Becky prides herself to have Megans legacy remembered and to live each day to the fullest--

So there is no doubt I am ever so grateful for our health my families and those we love.

Thankful ( Day 1)

I am going to try and keep this going all month and I challenge you to do the same.

Lately I have been finding myself searching for what is comfortable for myself and questioning many "whys". I will be the 1st to admit this last month I have found myself really struggling to find that comfort- I have been quite negative, completely worn out, longing for home for me and my family and wanting our life to fall into that normal category. But let's face it as my husband put it to me the other night "our life is NOT normal" we are a busy family.

I have a job that I LOVE beyond words yet I too struggle with feeling comfortable in it, then there is the farm-- ohhh the farm it can be soooo good but it to can stress me beyond belief but again lets face it "it is our life". Not only that but anyone who know Chris knows it is his passion and I am grateful for that even when I dont feel grateful.

Last month was full of challenges that tested me, who I am and our marriage. However at the end of the day I am grateful because there is no doubt in my mind Chris and I can do anything possible! The 4 years we have been married have been a whirlwind from moving when Callen was a baby, to having Paisley almost 2 months early to the medical bills to deciding to move again when Paisley was little to building to the everyday task in our lives. At the end of the day when Chris and I look back together there is NO doubt each step has been worth it for our family.

So as the time draws closer and I can see home in sight I realize there is ever so much to be grateful for....2 health children, a husband I wouldnt trade for the world, a place to come home to and lay our heads down each night, food on the table, wonderful friends and a family that I love dearly.....when I say god is good it is just amazing just how good he is!! So today I am thankful for my incredible husband and 2 sweet babes.

Black Eye

My little man is sporting a black eye!!

Trick or Treat 2010

We were so blessed this year to spend trick-r-treating with children of all ages!! I have to be the 1st to tell you that I couldnt have a sked for a better way to spend it. Paisley had the time of her life and for Callen the hayride was the best moment of the night...although there were many a time I remember asking Kelly wonder where the guys are as we tried to settle 2 tired little girls- never the less looking back in hindsight I would do it all over again. My cute little babe--smiley rotten!!
My handsome BIG babe--and yesss he has a black eye that is 100% real!!
My cute hubs and his litttle princess
P making friends with the merry and scary dressed up kids!!
Coaching brother football!!
My observer taking it all in
Crawling after her little friend Kooper
Best of Buds

Now unfortunately I only have pictures of one dressed up for the hayride and as you can tell he fought till momma gave in and he was a football player (guess you can say my days of matching are OVER!!)
Ahhhh those blue eyes!!

Sweet P was a trooper the whole 2 hour hayride and Callen was great even with the scary mask and frightful sounds. I am counting down the days till next year so we can do it al over again!

Halloween Party

Saturday we headed out of town for a road trip--- our destination was a

"Merry not Scary Halloween Party"

The party's host & hoestess (well there adorable little ones)these are the 2 cutest kids around and ohhhh sooo sweet. We look forward to showing them around the farm someday soon!!

I have to start by saying this was the cutest party and my dear friend out did herself! There is no question I would put her in charge of a party anyday!

Callen and Paisley were in AWWW-- this was such a GREAT idea!!

Sweet P

Handsome C

Big brother always takes care of Paisley

P-I-Z-Z-A-- couldnt get any better!!

My little babes has a wonderful time-- they played in the cutest of playhouses, the sweetest of playscapes and of course by far the favorite of the evening was the corn tables.

My little stunt devil!!

If an arranged marriage wouldnt be looked down upon I would have no problem playing matchmaker for both my little ones.

Thank you again for a wonderful time and for all the goodies for my sweet babes....there is no doubt trick-r-treating "family style" was perfect for Callen & Paisley!

And a great BIG BOO!!!!

BIGGEST dirt pile in Texas

Where can you go and have the biggest dirt pile around?Daddy's Farm
Sunday after church Callen went to the farm with his dad to help him move dirt. I have to admit they melted my heart that day- daddy took his ride toys and dirt toys and set him up in a special spot in the middle of the field and let him play away. YES we dont practive leaving our children alone and by no means was he alone his daddy was right there moving dirt with very very watchful eyes on him! Lets just say my little man had the best of times!!

Sissy wanted a chance to check is all out as well

She loves her daddy's tractor

And she has the best chauffer around!!

These 2 take the best c are of eachother!! Callen was removing some dirt so sissy didnt get dirty in her church clothes.

Callen keeping a close eye on things-- especially sissy and daddy in the tractor
