Kansas City Express- Christmas Style

This was a sight to see for young eye and old eyes. Something magical about this train...The dude could not have been more excited. Dont get me wrong it was COLD I mean down right chill you to the bones cold and the line was loooonnnngggg 2 hours long. But once inside what a treat. We all enjoyed it and I would be willing to bet we would do it again in a heart beat. Oh and to let you all know Paisley never stood in the cold---she and her daddy went home to get brothers hat and they listened to football...then we swapped and me and her listened to the game and she ate and before we knew it we were to the train. Mom are we EVER gonna get there?

Snow 2009

That is just what this last weekend felt like....I could have never imagined we would have enjoyed the snow and the cold temperatures just like we did. Chris and Callen played in the snow forthe majority but Saturday we had that snowball fight and it was GREAT. ALthough the boys ganged up on mommy it was still a blast. We made sure to get lots of pictures so that the kids could reminisce one day and since Pailsey was sooo small she wont remember.

School is SHUT down soooo we headed home for some snowy F-U-N

Who would have IMAGINED....

Snow is SOUTH TEXAS.....I have to admit I think we derserve it because LORD knows we put up with some pretty stought tempatures, yucky humidity and just TEXAS weather. I am in awww it is covering the ground and I cannot wait to get the babies and take a million pictures....the DUDE and I have a scheduled snowball fight this afternoon and Miss Priss and her DAD are going to be sipping some HOT chocolate....cant wait

Does it get any better then this? I know those of you who get snow are laughing at me right now but put yourself in our shoes and this is AMAZING....I'll put it like Callen put it this morning "Mommy God and the angels are making it snow......isnt it pretty" well said little dude well said!!!

TOYING with Ideas....

We have been toying with ideas on how to make Christmas special for the kids yet not loose sight in the gift and overload of the holidays. Thus far the best idea I have found is for us to do 1 gift from Santa or 2 and their stocking and then 3 gifts from Mommy and daddy (each), being that Jesus recieved 3 gifts in the Stable when he was born!

Its sounds like a fun idea and it each year we get to go over again to teach the little ones the importance of Christmas, We didn't want to take the excitment away from them about Santa but tried to put it perspective! Plus we are wanting to instill the art of GIVING in our children we started with letting them pick pout others gifts and be a part of helping with there teacher gifts etc and we as a family choose child at church that we are buying for--we will do something FUN and then needed items. You dont realize how fortunate you are until you see the eyes of poverty and hunger looking straight at you....Thus is the season for GIVING and being grateful and that is just what we intend to do.

L-O-V-E

You know I often tell myself the LOVE these 2 share is un-imaginable. Not only are the best friends but they are inseprable---she wants to be with him and he wants to be with her. She cries he immediately goes to checking on her and asking me to fix sissy. They both take each moment with eachother and cherish it.

Last night Callen was "swimming" in the bath and sissy watching. I came in to relieve daddy so he could eat and Callen decided I was the perfect person to convience that sisy need to get in HIS bath with him......so I agreed heck 1 bath with 2 is easier then 2 baths with 1 trust me on that one because when it is 2 baths SOMEONE ( I wont mention names) ALWAYS wants to help bathe sissy.

Can you tell how much he loves her---and in my heart I know if she could HUG back he would get lots of sissy HUGS......

By the way it is official we call her SISSY alot but dont get me wrong Paisley Emersyn aka SISSY doesnt mind one bit

We had a new friend arrive last night---we read a book with him before bed and then off he went....

This morning the dude and I awoke to this......

Our new friend CROSBY was in Callen's kisses bucket---hmmmm

Callen loves kisses and he found it sooooo funny CROSBY does to. I aksed Callen when he eats chocolate where does it all go? He answers "all over my face momma" he has been answering that question like that for weeks and I love asking it OVER AND OVER AND OVER

Monday I picked Callen up from school and low and behold there was an accident report :( still 2 nights later you can see the ouchie the dude got---

My poor dude got a MAJOR busted lip

This morning we looked extra close at it to make sure we didnt need to go see Dr. Dentler because of the interior cut...but I think it just needs EXTRA time to heal--nothing soup and icee's cant fix and some momma sugars

We COULDNT have been more ready---this was our 1st big outting as a family of 4 and we had a blast. The little dude and big dad were sooo excited for football and me and the girl couldnt wait to check out all the excitement. Needless to say we had a blast...Callen was asking to go to another BIG football game before we ever made it to the car. Paisley was soooo good the cannon's and loud noise never fased her and she loved beign able to smile at all the people.....she was defiantely a little star.

There are soooo many things to be thankful for---a wonderful group of family and friends, children who are healthy and God's greatest little blessings, jobs that we can come to daily, food to eat and nurish our bodies, great school's that our children attend....at the end of the holidays we are a SWEET family of 4 sat down and discussed what we were thankful for it was a precious memory-- Callen was thankful for his sissy #1 on his list---as you can imagine somethings a 2 year old is thanklful for just bring a smile to your face (I will post his list soon), sissy is thankful to be living the life she is living, Chris thankful for our sweet family and health, mommy thankful for our many blessings and love that we share---- the list goes on and on

What a beautiful THANKSGIVING we shared with many of our loved ones....those who we werent able to see YOU WERE MISSED AND THOUGHT OF OVER THE HOLIDAYS---
