Sugary, Sweet

There is something this little girl LOVEs about Callen's carseat... I am beginning to wonder if it isnt the leftover doughnuts, or the smeared chocolate...whatever it is she is ALWAYS sucking the straps!!

Cookie Elves

Shhhh there is a upcoming party to decorate some cookies and last night my little cookie elves worked their hearts out. I am ever so greatful for the laughs, the memories, the mess and of course the YUMMY cookies!!
This undertaking has been HUGE while a party is always fun to plan this one has required we get out act together in lighting speed-- boxes unpacked, things put away, getting life situated and shockingly we are getting there-- thank you to all the helping hands from the playmates to the movers each person has been a BIG help

As you can tell this cookie making process took a meeting of the minds and during the process I think Callen learned a few choice words-- thank you to those who taught my 3 year old to say "cr$%" OR for the fact when we cut cookies he say "erererer" of course I might add that for him this was the treat of all treats...he had Carlie, Kendall, Kelcie, Chad and later Uncle Carl-- of course I bribbed them all with Potato soup and cookie making (next time they will RUN like crazy little chickens)

We had our recipe extrodinaire- KENDALL

We had our expert cookie cutter- KELCIE

And we had our incredible cookie baker- CARLIE

What they also had was one little helper who was hands on- CALLEN

And in the end we had one happy crew
Even with the Flour on their faces and all

And of course I was behind the camera while my husband reminded me that not everyone likes cameras in there faces at all times "Yes dear I know but ohhh the memories"

Powder Room

Ok this is my favorite bathroom in the entire house-- the verdit you either LOVE it or hate it-- many dont like the sink but as you all know I wanted somehting different and the sink was perfect!!

Guest Welcome

Here is a little peek into our guest bedroom-- hoping to have some guest soon to share it with!

Dining Area

You all will know from this post what the favorite part of our dining room is----ahhh the china hutch looks like beautiful furniture but it is a built in-
We are anxiously awaitng Ricardo to get better as he had a horrible accident he cut his finger off doing Chris's office cabinets so a few of our built ins are delayed

And this georgeous frame will soon hold our family picture

C-Man's Room

Of course there are not many changes with his room. As we all know this room is one of my favorites in the house and there was NO way I was changing any of his decor up. We did move his map he got for his 1st X-mas into his room since we went with a different theme for the playroom considering his last playroom was a closet and the map was all that really fit ;)
His bedding I have loved form the beginning and the old cars and trucks carry that vintage feel that I LOVE.... the biggest change in this room is that it has someone sleeping in it-- in fact last night he said "momma I am ready for bed...let's go to my room and snuggle me in" bud you got it anytime!!!
And as worried as I was about his piece of furniture for his bathroom I have to tell you I LOVE it-- his area is perfect-- not a thing I would change. Shhhh I still have a hard time with the white in P's bathroom but the only way to coordinate the 2 was do his in one stripe color hers in the other and it works it really does but white just seems so bland to me ;)

Now we still have lots to go on his walls and getting it just right but we are close-- again if mommy would unpack a few more boxes we would be there!!

Request

Lately I have been getting lots of request about seeing pictures of the house or coming by to see it. Of course it is no where near complete, in fact if you look closely you will still see tags of P's tree, plastic wrapping on the dining room chandy, a 1/2 made bed in Callen's room and all sorts of other things. However we are getting there and a little closer each day of course no need to remind me we have a long way to go...in fact if I get brave enough I will send you a picture of the garage it looks like a bomb went off (seriously it is completely embarassing)... of course I plan to someday get it under control-- baby steps. SO with out further hesitation a few pics of little Miss Prissy Pots room...and NO there are none of her bed because her comforter is MISSING in the heap of boxes--hopefully soon to be found.

Remember this-- her present from Mommy and Daddy for her 1st birthday-- lets just say this piece is and eye catcher and just stunning in her room....of course I still dont know how it matches PERFECTLY since the only color we knew at that time for her new room was her doll hutch and the teal blue...lets just say I "heart" this piece and am so glad I had it done for her!!

Ohhh dont look too close at that bed-- we have pillows just no bedding hmm still pondering where that may be...I love this and loved it from the moment I layed eyes on it in Pottery barn-- thanks Aunt Peggy for the gift card for P it is PERFECT in everyway for her room!!

Sassy's vintage Christmas tree--- yes the tags have now been cut off-- I nust say I loved this tree last year and love it even more in her new room this year-- perfect , vintagey (is that a word ), love!!

No onto this glory-- I was a piece that caught my eye on my way to Worrington of course the 1st time I passed it up thinking WHERE will it go..then I got home and my mind got to stirring and I really regreted not taking the plunge in fact I just knew it was gone-- luckily the builder needed a few more corbels soooo guess what fate was on my side and I brought her home with me....again perfect in her room

Her little lady and cute little hairbow holder

Little Divas vanity area---

course there is a BIG ugh oh you cant see-- in fact this whole room is soon to change-- P is getting a new top for her vanity as we believe the electrician used it as his ladder to hang her light--ughhh oh and it is cracked perfectly down the middle-- but accidents happen of course I want the light light top and that is hard to find ;)

To old??

I am wondering if people think she is to old for her bottle-- little do they know she only gets it at night-- and on Sundays when she is having a meltdown before church.

Can you tell it make everything A-ok

Babysitter?

If anyone is in need of a babysitter I knopw just the place you can find the perfect one.....

He reads to them, plays with them and makes sure the little ladies in his life are HAPPY
And if they happen to get fussy on his watch he jumps into action and helps them when they cant find their passy
What a great babysitter we have!!
Needless to say he made our time with Mackenzie super easy-- although at 5:45 in the morning he was slumbering with the rest of the house-- but no worries Mommy kicked in and offered her help and when he awoke the 1st question was "Mom, where is Kenzie"!

I SPY---

After almost a entire week of someone special being gone-- little bit had a BIG surprise waiting for her in the audience. The cutest thing was as her program was wrapping up she spyed that special person. I just knew she was going to take off running or hollaring but she stayed on stage with her eyes attached to the prize. You can see that little grin and sparkle in her eyes.
Needless to say she was one HAPPY girl to have her Popo home!!

Can you tell?

Queen of the Playground

Rumor has it there were bets taken before Paisley's program about how she wouldn't stay up there and participate-- of course my little queen of the playground wasn't going to let us down. While she is a little young to really sing and know the songs she did know all the hand movements. I was ever so proud of her for participating with her sweet class and I am glad she proved all those betters WRONG ;) She was quite this little cutie and her little hand movements were so sweet-- as her brother sat in my lap watching he kept saying "Good job sissy" it was one of those many melt your heart moments!

My Shepherd

Friday was Callen and Paisley's Christmas program. I have to say I have never been such a proud mommy. Callen had the privledge of being one of the Sheperd's in the program. His line "Let us go to Bethleham and see this thing that has happened that the Lord has made known to us"-- for weeks we have practiced and for weeks he has had it down to a T.....this mommy had no concerns as he knew his lines anytime we had asked. As the program drew near he had to get into his costume-- keep in mind there were only Shepherds that dressed up and Angels so it was a bit out of the ordinary for him but once he was dressed up he was ready to go. The program was a complete SUCCESS!! Thank you to all that attended

BOB

I think we should call this diva bob because these days she walks around bobbing her head back and forth and back and forth-- silly sweet little girl!!

Proud

Shhhhh dont let Callen know I am letting you in on a BIG secret. But I want to share with yall so you can make a big to-do over when you see him or talk to him.

The last 2 nights he has slept in his bed 100%-- we get 3 books each night to read alternating between mommy choosing one night Callen the next. We read and he goes to sleep. To many this may not seem like a big deal but for Callen it is a VERY VERY big accomplishment. Last year before we moved we had him in his bed that was until the train was re-introduced to our little town. Once the train got going it shook our house, and let all the noise be heard through our paper thin windows and before we knew it Callen was back in bed with us. In the rent house we had 2 beds one being a baby bed we set up a 3rd but could never really get Callen in there maybe a night or 2 and NEVER back to back. Well Sunday I decided to try him in his new room at the new house. I showed him the night light, the monitor and he picked out of his 2 beds which he would sleep in, we grab 3 books (since he is 3 we went with 3 as the magical number) and off to slumberland he went. He awoke the next morning a bit paniced but once we let him know just how proud we were of him- he started glowing about his new room and bed. I am so proud of him and while I know to many this is something he should have been doing for quite sometime lets face it we all beat to different drums and for Callen this is BIG very big.

Tonight I will sneak a picture of my sleeping little man but till then Callen mommy is ever so proud of you!!!

On top of the world

She thought she was walking in HIGH COTTON!!! Plus she likes her presence to be known
I think the face says it all!!!

Driving

MISS SASSY

I love this picture although I will be the 1st to admit I am not ready for the day when he can actually drive to ever come!! He is super sweet to her and for that I am greatful.

Ok quick question bloggers-- PLEASE tell me my little bit isnt the only girl that has so much sas in her pants it isnt funny...she walked with a twist, she give silly faces, scrutches her nose and from what I can tell she can sas talk all day long. I have to admit it is the cutest thing EVER but I am not so sure that at terrible 2's sassy mixed with the terribles will be so good...any advice?

Home

We are getting there little steps at a time-- but the great thing is it feels just like home. Memories are being made, stories being shared and all 4 of us are finding HOME to be just what we needed this time of year.

As you can tell there are no Chirstmas decorations yet....boxes are still being unpacked and put up and caution cones are still out... but again we are getting there
